A native of Nashville and life-long musician, Rick began his musical journey at 6 years old playing piano at his mothers insistence. He began playing guitar at age 13, playing in several bands through his teens and twenties, including his high school jazz band. As he was attending college, listening to the guitar heroes of the day, he noticed that the virtuoso guitarists he loved always had equally amazing bassists accompanying them. Learning more and more about the bass he decided this was what he was really meant for and made the change to become a bassist in the early 2000s, favoring his influences of Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath. Since that time he has played in several bands as both guitarist and bassist, most recently being the bassist for Christian metal band EverCross as well as volunteering at local churches as part of their house praise bands.
